I heard Bilbray say the other 3 candidates were conservative.

It's my understanding that at least two of the other three were strong secure-the-borders, anti-illegal immigration candidates. One was supported by the MinuteMen (Griffith), and I believe the other was an independent running on a border security platform, as well. I would anticipate that those who voted for those two border security candidates would vote for Bilbray in the general election in November.
