Minneapolis police announced the arrest of a retired police officer Wednesday for trying to pick up a package containing $4 million worth of drugs.

Police were called to the bus depot at 950 Hawthorne Ave. in Minneapolis regarding a suspicious package on June 2. Security there informed officers that a man tried to pick up the package, which contained 10 kilos of cocaine and eight pounds of methamphetamine.

Police soon identified the suspect as Clemmie Howard Tucker, 55. Tucker, a former St. Paul Police Officer, turned himself into Minneapolis Police at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has learned that Tucker was a St. Paul officer for 25 years and was a very popular officer.

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has also learned that Tucker was a Golden Gloves boxing champion and was a trainer at B.T. Bomber's gym in St. Paul. Tucker's son is in prison for murdering his girlfriend.

Tucker has been booked at the Hennepin County Jail. The case will be presented to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

you would think that he would have more dots connected than picking up a box of drugs, at a bus station??? he must have been on them then at the time, his son murdered his girlfriend? deferring gratification, a real trouble maker, as I see it...........murder, drugs, and he had a good pension too, what more did he want out of life? what more? twenty five years of work for nothing, it is all lost now, can you believe this, it is a horror story as far as I am concerned, I know and see so many kids on a dead end street and then to have him be successful and lost it , all for what? I can tell you , I bet he didn't have the awakening of Jesus Christ in his heart> That would have prevented a thing like this from happening,,,,,my opinion, as another child of the Mighty One, the Immortal One, the Holy One, my God, the God of Abraham, the God of David..............the God.

With this kind of money to be made, arresting this guy is futile. There are a million people standing in line right behind him ready to roll the dice for that kind of shot. Look how many people play the lottery. The consequences are much worse with drugs, but the odds are infinitely better.

Well, he had a lot of free time on his hands.

Actually, he might have been involved in drugs while he was still on the force.

And Elliot Ness of "Untouchables" fame, became an alcoholic who committed at least one hit and run.

Just another "Infallible Cop" proving that in the real world they are not!

How could this happen? The Democrats have been telling us for years that only cops are trustworthy enough to carry guns.
