What I DO know is that unless Sagan had a deathbed conversion [possible but unlikely], he is in hell right now. If you don't repent and turn from your sins, you'll be joining him. I wouldn't want that to happen to you.
As far a I can tell the dead have yet to face final judgment. Hell comes later.
