someday we might evolve public schools with the ability to entertain opposable ideas about the creation of man.
We already do. It's called Sunday School.
LOL! I will definitely buy it!
Carl Sagan believes in God now.
I agree with Ann Coulter in principle, but I can't help feeling she is an attention wh*re.
I love Anne Coulter - she's great. :)
I honestly had no idea she believed this. (even if she's just pandering to a certain group of conservatives, it's meaningless)
Any respect I had for her just went down the toilet. First, earlier this year, I heard that she called all Muslims "ragheads" at the CPAC convention, and now this? Talk about walking right into the stereotype of a conservative: Racist rube.
Are we sure this stickwoman isn't some plant by the left to fully discredit us?
You had a seance with Carl? Remarkable.
Anne should stick to topics she has some actual knowledge of. It's clear that Evolutionary Biology is not among those topics. I guess humiliating yourself in public by parading your scientific ignorance for all to see is the new recreational activity of conservative pundits.
"We already do. It's called Sunday School."
Public school = Sunday school?
Um, no.
My local Barnes and Noble had it right out front. But then the store is located very near the University of Notre Dame, whence miracles major and minor occur on a regular basis.
I meant religion should be taught on Sundays in Sunday School and church and science should be taught in the classroom.
Sagan's "scientific spirit" lives on through Art Bell. UFO nuts and potheads unite!
True. All she is trying to do is create as much controversy (read publicity) for her new book which she expects to translate into sales. I have gone through a couple of her earlier books. She is a very mediocre writer.
The title promises for a good read.
Now back to read what Ann wrote about her book.
I'm not sure who you mean by "us". I only wish our political "leaders" would speak with half the candor. Her language is harsh? Tough toenails. At least her ideas get attention. Get past the language and tell me where she's wrong...
No. I don't need a seance--God's word (the Bible) tells us not to consult mediums or spiritists.
What I DO know is that unless Sagan had a deathbed conversion [possible but unlikely], he is in hell right now. If you don't repent and turn from your sins, you'll be joining him. I wouldn't want that to happen to you.
If you can't argue facts just hurl insults?
Candor is no virtue when it's candid idiocy.
Well, we are discussing Coulter, after all. :-)
