Who got the other 6%?
To the Dems: A Loss is a loss is a loss.
Nah, no slant on the news here.
45% for a Democrat = "strong showing."
45% for a Republican = "crushing defeat."
}:-)4
There IS no "strong showing." This was a district where the GOP candidate had massive corruption baggage from Duke Cunningham, where the Dems had only 30% turnout despite a huge gubernatorial fight, and where Bilbray and the ultra-border-enforcer got 55% to 45%.
Funny, as someone noted on another thread on this subject, tBusby polled the same precentages in this election as he did in the last election against Cunningham.
Which means the tsunami was a tsu-no-show. But you wouldn't know that from this article.
Diebold's fault
Strong Immigration and Enforcement Candidates - 55%
Open Borders no enforcement Candidate - 45%
Attention Dhimmicrats: Loss=Loss, A=A..............Learn it, live it, love it.........
Marc Sandalow, I've never heard of you, but considering how slanted your writing is, I'll never trust anything I ever see with your name on it.

What a loaded pile of crap this article is. Why doesn't the author throw a tantrum?
Obviously the vote was rigged because it disagrees with public opinion polls taken just before the election. Must be more 'Pubbie vote stealing shenanigans, just like in Ohio...
We'll take a few more of those "strong showings" by Democrats who get 45% of the vote - any day.
Irony Alert:
First sentence of article: "The tsunami of disapproval...was not strong enough...." -- a presumption that the tsunami actually exists.
Fifth paragraph of article: "'National Democrats must come to terms with the fact that momentum for the midterm elections will not materialize simply because they preordain it in the media, or because they ask their special interest friends to buy it for them.'" [from the Republicna pol]
I.e., the reporter uses a quote that exposes his lede for the parisan nonsense it is! Do you think he meant to show fairness, or is his leftism so ingrained that he doesn't even notice it anymore?
2006 Congressional Races (As of 6/7/06)
Republicans .... 1
Democrats ...... 0
We're batting 1000!
If the stupid Republican Party runs on a tough illegal immigration stance this Fall, it will GAIN seats in the House. It's that simple.
So in reality - the republican and conservative vote got about 55%...
