I'm sorry. All the 3000 that died on Sept 11th were victims, not heros, even though there were heroics among them. The tragedy that affected the whole nation has been forgotten by too many who realized the global war that had been simmering and exploded on that bright sunny morning.
True, these women got together to push Congress to investigate any possible shortcomings that MAY have contributed to the tragedy, but to continue to use the blood of their husbands to further a POLITICAL agenda, promote themselves as the ones who have suffered the most, and contribute to the Bush bashing, is unforgivable.
The other families should point out that these women are just what Ann called them, harpies.

The heros of 9/11/01 were those performing the heroics, giving their lives in defense of others, as did those who fought back on Flight 93, and those who risked AND gave their lives to help victims.

You are indeed sorry.

I think you are wrong. There were many who died in the attacks who were absolutely the epitome of heroism; if you read an accounting of their actions that day I can't understand how you could come away with any other conclusion. The firemen who were still trying to help people out of the buildings when they fell, the policemen, the court officers, and others, who worked nearby and could have walked a few blocks north to safety, but instead rushed into the inferno; and the one whose name still makes me want to stand up and salute, Vietnam veteran Rick Rescorla. Not all the victims were heros in that sense, but many were.
