He acted in a couple of films and did a lot of directing. Quite successfully. But he hasn't changed much.
I guess that means he has no excuse, then. (Excuse: a lie told to cover your failings.)
wow... cali voters finally got one right :)
I lived in Hayward when I was in 8th grade. Used to hop the backyard fence to pick strawberries after sunset, until I got caught. ;) Biggest and best berries I have ever eaten!
I have a son living in Joshua Tree, as conservative as Atilla the Hun. (God bless his heart) A daughter living in Chino who is hard to love as she is a leftist with little to do but remain confused as to why everyone isn't living off their rich husband, like she is.
The remaining three children are in N.J..
I loved New Jersey. Hunting at St Pauls Abbey in Newton. Going to the shore, etc. etc. It has certainly changed for the worse over these many years.
Regards

Buh-bye, Meathead. :-)
I am a California resident, and I have two preschool age children. I am glad that this initiative lost. It was so unnecessary. There are already plenty of free or low cost preschools available. The media reports haven't detailed all the PUBICALLY FUNDED PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS currently available.
There is Headstart, a federally funded preschool program. It is for low income or special needs children (regardless of income). In our county, there are more spaces available than students in this program.
There is State Preschool. This is program is run through the local school districts, it is funded by California state government, and is for eligible, low income children.
There is Special Needs Preschool. This program is run through the local school districts, through their normal funding sources. It is for children who are determined to need extra help as specified under IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) a federal law. Examples are children who need help with speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, Downs syndrome childrent, autistic children. The children's eligibility is determined by the child's need, not income.
There is Early Admission Kindergarten. This is a state funded program. It is run through the local school districts. It is a one semester preschool class, usually in the spring before the child begins Kindergarten in the fall. Eligibility is determined by the child's age. Income is not a factor. This class is for older preschool children, those who will be 5 on or before March 1 are eligible for this program.
Our highschool district has "Adult Education Classes" on the topic of parenting. These are actually parent participation preschool classes. For a very low cost, around $40 a quarter (three months) a parent (or other caregiver) along with their young children can attend a preschool class together. The children will go through an age appropriate curriculm (learning colors, shapes, letters, numbers, etc.). This preschool is not need based, it is just a matter of signing up and paying the low fee. Parent participation is required, though. This is funded by the parent fees and the high school district adult education program.
Our local elementary school district also runs preschool classes jointly with the local park and recreation department. These classes are not income based, and parent participation is not required. It is a bit higher cost than the parent participation classes, two or three hundred dollars a quarter.
The above is a listing of the PUBLICALLY FUNDED PRESCHOOLS in my area. They are separate programs, funded through different sources, but all ultimately funded by the taxpayer. Then there are the various private options: church based, non-profit, for profit, Montessori, etc..
I saw no need for additional preschools. I am glad the majority of California voters agreed with me.
So sweet indeed. And a lot of conservative judges were elected in Los Angeles. I am very pleased with the election, considering this is Marxist territory.
Great victory in California. I think the voters have HAD it. The way Meathead et al. talked about 'only taking money from the top 5% of the taxpayers, they won't care' -- they totally got what they deserved.
Next task -- to clean out Sacramento. It is vile and Marxist up there.
"Next task -- to clean out Sacramento. It is vile and Marxist up there."
Good Luck, and God Bless! You'll need both. You'll understand, I hope, why I won't be moving back anytime soon?
We could use your vote. However, we are making plans to get out too. But it was a wonderful victory yesterday.
That meathead should hang out at safe houses in Baghdad.
Day late, but not short on humor!
Yes, it is the finger in the dike. I know what you mean about a small population. We enjoyed that in eastern Washington. Also being among other conservatives, pretty rare here in Los Angeles. ah well.
