if someone throws a rock/brick/concrete-block at your car... you DO NOT STOP. You DO NOT confront the attacker. Your concern should be to get the kids and yourself away from harm. The threat may not be over. The longer you stay in the area, the higher the odds of a follow-on event.

Get your vehicle and kids out of the area asap and report it to the cops.
