So the President isn't the only one pandering to a small group within his base. Unfortunately for those of us who believe there are serious issues facing this Nation, I'm afraid this one will play right into the hands of the Democrats this Fall.

Good for you, Congresswoman!! The Dems are out there hollering, "we've got more important business to tend to" and "this administration is just trying to appeal to their radical right-wing base" and other things from their talking points memo so that they don't have to take a stand on this issue. They know full well that a good number of even Dems hold to the sanctity of traditional marriage, and they don't want to be on record one way or another lest they pit one special interest group against another.
