Al Gore’s global warming documentary is finding an audience – in its second weekend in theaters, "An Inconvenient Truth” led all films in box office gross per screen.

The movie was shown in 77 theaters and took in $1.34 million – enough to put it at No. 9 in box office gross for the weekend – for an average of $17,615 per screen.

Wow! 77 screens. Out of, like, 296,000 screens in the country, right? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

The only Al Gore environmental film I would pay to see is a clip of him personally fixing his tenants toilet back on his property in TN. Remember the broken toilet where he continued to demand and collect rent but would not respond in any way to repeated pleading to fix the toilet and preserve the environment. He could be bothered to deal with until it became an election issue. As a professional ice tea drinker Gore should know the value of a nearby operating toilet.

He is about as good at environmental protection as the Kennedys are when tilting of windmills (they might but they won't let them be built in MA).

We are getting record low temperatures throughout the interior of Alaska for 6 Jun. Lowest was 19, but many reports of 20s. Some of the deciduous trees are looking very sad, drooping leaves. Many of the little forest animals are trying to get inside the houses, which is a bad choice for them.

Let me guess.... they picked the 77 'bluest' theater demographics in the country. Wake me up when they try it with 2000 or 3000+ screens and then we'll see if anyone cares.

I'm opening a new practice 11/4/2006 specializing in post- election depression

Good! With professional counseling maybe the "progressives" will finally keep their resolutions to leave America for France, Canada, Cuba, a Monastery, etc. We've all been very disappointed by the lack of follow through in the last several national elections.

As I understand, sometimes people can get so depressed they don't have the energy to act. We're all counting on you to help provide the missing motivation!

Or even better... Wait... I suppose a sudden spike in patient suicides would be bad for business? Never mind.
