Ventura County: My husband voted shortly after the polls opened this morning. He was the 16th person to vote in our precinct. I waited until 5:00pm to go vote so I could check the turnout. I was the 116th person to vote. Our precinct (two small precincts combined) has 1092 voters. I asked the clerk about the low turnout and she said they had a lot of absentee ballots.
With three hours left to go when I voted, I hope a lot more people voted on their way home from work!
Why was she able to upset him...do you know? How did the media predicters miss it so badly?
Other thread says that AP proclaims Bilbray won.
You have every reason to be proud of him!
Thanks, my headache is on the wane.
It was a killer an hour ago.
Not to mention childish. Here's what it made me think of...name calling by little kids on a playground.
Cheryl Cox is winning!
WHO IS CHERYL COX?????? Is she a good guy?
Link?
Ventura County... it appears Ms. Mikels is in a tough contest. .. running behind slightly at the moment. Of course, we haven't heard from the Tucson vote yet.
9 Republicans in that race?????
Some of those were put up by the DNC, obvious. Hoping to split the vote.
BTW, Like the plug for Harris in your tag.
I'd love to be her inappropriate intern.
You may want to win, sweetie, but it ain't happening! You ain't even close!
It's so heavy Dem, I'm just shocked and can't stop grinning ";^)
#402 got run.
Hi Dolphy! I know where you;re at... I am definitely coming your way next September (God willing).
It's a shame and a tragedy that this issue doesn;t have traction in your state and in all states. It's truly serious and must be addressed properly.
Dr. Cox was elected to the Board of Education in November 2000 and reelected in 2004. Her term expires in December 2008. Dr. Cox has a B.A. from the University of San Diego, an M.A. in Political Science from San Diego State University, a Doctorate in Education from the University of Southern California, and holds teaching and administrative services credentials. A former teacher, principal, and Business Department administrator with the Chula Vista Elementary School District for 30 years, she is now a governmental relations and education consultant and teaches classes for aspiring administrators. Dr. Cox is past President of Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center's Board of Directors, a member of the City's Charter Review Commission, and is a recipient of PTA's Honorary and Continuing Service Awards.
Don't get happy yet Onyx....there are a lot of ways to split that vote...and only 12 percent is in.
I think Busby was slowly sinking but she opened her mouth one to many times and zotted
Talk about transparent...they have to get at the back of what line? The line they were never in and have cut in front of a half a billion other people, that line? The one they get to wait in the US and work and get medical care, welfare, public education and work while everyone else gets to wait outside the country? Is that the line you are referring to? Pay 3 of the last x number of years taxes and get credit for Social Security and EIC and probably get net refunds? Pay a $2000, fine and get citizenship? Please don't throw me in the briar patch...
Dems spent $4m according to Roger Hedgecock, not $2.5. He corrected a collegue earlier.
