I just have to tell you that I just heard Sen. Reid on AirAmerika with Ed Schulz...
It was a long same old long list of complaints..and Reid said the economy was MUCH better under Clinton, and the North Korea problem was under control under Clinton.
But, what he did say was that he wrote President Bush a letter today...telling him that he needs to send Condi Rice to N. Korea for one-on-one talks...because, (get this)..
He said he called for an amendment to the Def. Auth. Bill that called for a "high level" Administration individual to deal with North Korea...and that his "passed" unanimously.
AHA....I knew that would come up!
Remember when we were going through all of the amendments to that, that were never debated or got an up or down vote??
I went to Cboldt's site..and sure enough, this was one of those that was listed with about 10 other amendments, that Frist or someone just passed...just like that!!

Oh goodness, they think they are just too clever by half. Chris Hill is pretty darn high level, but of course the point is to portray themselves to the general public as astute and powerful and to point at the President for just ignoring the laws they pass...imperial presidency, don'tcha know, and if he would just listen to them. Makes me sick to think that US Senators reduce themselves to this stuff.

Lord, that ninny Carl Levin is going on and on about how we have to treat the detainees "how we want our soldiers to be treated if they are captured".
In light of the Tucker and Menchaca "capture"...do they not realize how stupid that sounds??
You have to wonder, don't you, since no one with an ounce of sense believes that is the result we will get.
Some one needs to mail the pictures of our soldiers so that loser can see how those animals are treating captured soldiers

I think it is the 3rd of the 3 votes that is the one that is about FED FUNDING of embryonic stem cells...so that is the one to watch...vote wise.
