Don't get me wrong, I consider Reagan one of the four BEST PRESIDENTS EVER, and indeed that he will easily make it into the best of world history.
I was saying only that I disagreed with some of the things he did, and did so at the time (often by writing, and I got a couple replies back). Some of those things I believe history has shown my misgivings accurate; others have not. Nevertheless, this conservative was always picking away at my own hero, and I will admit that I have never been a fan of the "art of the possible" stuff - and he may have been very accurate in believing he would not get anything at all accomplished if he didn't compromise.
Reagan was a very astute man.
