It's a shame some folks feel it's necessary to run down one conservative in an attempt to build up another's credentials. I guess the "11th Commandment" only gets invoked when it works in your favor, huh?

Let's not inflate Reagan beyond reality, as some on this thread are doing.

And while we're at it maybe we can avoid claiming Reagan and Clinton were of a similar bent with regard to foreign policy.

We are going to get an early test in Utah on how sucessful or unsuccessful Bush's policies are with Chris Cannon, the moderate republician with the same views as Bush on immigration running for political life. Will the citizens support Cannon's open border policy or reject it.
