Herd mentality, and culture in general. When's the last time you heard someone fail to use "hard" with "work" or "working". Another one that gets me is "the American people". 'You' is the strongest word in our language and W would be wise to use it, as opposed to refering to that third person "the American People.' Or how about Americans?
Hillary Clinton said it just recently. Guess they thought it would connect with the Baby Boomers if they had here go out and rant and rave about "This Generation doesn't know how to work hard". Note to general public. EVERY generation says that. It called Mechanization and Automation. We work less hard then our parents because we have MACHINES that do most of he hard work for us. So did they and so did their parents. Have to go back to about the mid 1800s or so to find a truly muscle powered American culture.
I always laugh when I hear people talk about "hard work" What out troops do is "hard work". The rest of us got it easy no matter how much we like to kid ourselves about how "hard working" we are.
