Does anyone have the American casualty statistics for May? How do they compare to May of 2005? And why no news about this?
And this excellent reply from Pisano was
May 2006=57 KIAs
May 2005=67 KIAs
Talk about an inconveient truth!
It's not about these specific deaths, which are all, individually, tragic. It's about the propoganda being force fed to the American people by the drive by media.
It would have been much closer, closer to Bush v Gore with 49.2% and 49.1% -- provided the Perot votes had gone to Dole, which wasn't guaranteed, of course. It shows that without a third party candidate our country was very evenly divided even in 1995.
You got to look at the video. It is possible if the round missed the spine in the 'Nam incident claim and the person shot got instant very skilled medical attention. It IS possible, just highly, highly improbable.
Question, what weapon was the person in 'Nam shot with? What range was the shot made? Where was the shooter? Back front, side? If the 'Nam story is true, the person was incredibly lucky or hit with a spent round. My personal guess is the supposed "Combat vet from 'Nam" is simply misremembering the event or making it up rather then admit they are wrong.
And even if we assume it true, comparing a wound of a fully grown adult male to the one shown on this very small child is nonsense. Remember a fully grown male has a LOT large back then this kid.
Based on the story we are being retailed, the "out of control Marine" would of had to be behind the child firing down at him. Based on that angle, any round that goes in where it is shown on this child would have to hit the spine, a lung or the heart and then exit some where. If that actually had happened, dead kid. No other possible result. None.
Btw, in '04 W would have gotten California's electoral votes, and I see that scenario repeating itself moreso than what happened in '00. Do Cali Dems really want to disenfranchise their base?
This is what Hillary and gang started screaming for, the minute the 2004 election was over...right??
The state legislature passed this?? This doesn't have to be a referendum that the people of California can vote on??
Also, since this is a Republic of states....how can a state just IGNORE a Constitutional law, without seceding??
I have a feeling this will end up at the SCOTUS before it is ever implemented.
I kind of doubt the CA bill will do much. Smaller states will certainly resist any popular election for president. This movement came from the Al Gore loss.
Poor Democrats. They don't like the rules so they want to change them in their favor or they will ignore them. They don't want to live in a representative republic and they want to create chaos thinking the country will turn to them as the anointed class.
I heard on a local radio talk show last week, that the statistics for violent (not accidents) deaths to civilians in Iraq in 2005...was 25 per 100,000 persons..
I Washington DC, during the same period, was 45 per 100,000, and in Detroit and Chicago, in the 30's per 100,000...I can't remember Los Angeles..but it was also higher than in Iraq..
NOW, I am sure if you want to compare just Baghdad, it would be higher, but that would just highlight how much more calm the outer part of Iraq is...IMHO>
Thanks samantha much appreciated.
I loved Southpark's ManBearPig episode because it captured the departure from reality that is algore better than criticism or ridicule ever could.
How does anything the folks of SouthPark do not qualify as criticism or ridicule?
That is the core of that program and the only reason I truly love it (though I seldom have the patience or stomach to watchi it).
"I have no idea where I'd find those comments about that wound, nor who exactly made them : ( "

Keep watching. You're going to enjoy the round table. Look for the underlying reasoning each uses in explaining Iran and what the US is doing. Same thing on how Democrats think they can use all this to get elected.
Thanks again samantha,
Damn I miss 24 can't believe it wont be on for a while.
You know.....that would NOT surprise me.
Yes, I loved Roberts' remarks, too. I couldn't bear to watch Lindsey Graham but tuned in after that.
To quote from Quid Pro Coal:
The Lippo Group is a consortium, part-owned by billionaire Moctar Riady. PT Lippo also provides financing to "brother-in-law" Hashim for his coal mining company that supplies Paiton.
Hashim is himself a key figure. While serving as the minister for mines under Suharto, Hashim also managed to purchase the world's only "low sulfur" coal mine.
His financial backers include Moctar Riady's PT Lippo and, his sister-in-law, Prawabo.
Hashim and Moctar Riady both found themselves with a global monopoly thanks to Bill Clinton's executive order for the 1.7 million-acre Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in Utah, over the only other known "low sulfur" deposit.
The connections between Riady and Clinton have a much more sinister theme than coal monopolies and taxpayer backed power plants in the middle of Asia. Testimony before Senator Thompson's committee in 1998 revealed Moctar Riady's involvement in Chinese espionage.
Testimony revealed the Lippo Group is in fact a joint venture of China Resources, a trading and holding company "wholly owned" by the Chinese communist government and used as a front for Chinese espionage operations. Thus, behind all the front companies, the communist leaders in Beijing have triumphed again.... more here
