Great analysis!

We're not just dealing with a vicious Islamic enemy who knows how to cleverly use propaganda and our own media against us, we're dealing with our own domestic psycho ward packed with their enablers!

OK. We have finished the shed and I am watching the Blitzkrieg against Rummy. Righ now he has on former general Batiste, and this is the first time that I have seen him. Belligerent and sounds like his IQ isn't the tops. He is going after Rumsfeld and saying that none of the last 3 Joint Chiefs has been alone in the room with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and without Rumsfeld. He is insinuating that the Joint Chiefs are intimidated by Rumsfeld. Brings up the Goldwater-something act. He is getting far too much air time in my opinion, but of course this is CNN.

Not much interest in the shows today. Part of the problem was what was not discussed.

A month ago it was all about how the Americans were having more and more casualties. More in April of 2006 than in April of 2005. Now this month silence.

Does anyone have the American casualty statistics for May? How do they compare to May of 2005? And why no news about this?

Graham says that every institution of democracy in Iraq is under attack.

Graham is a lying sack of... well you get it.

The truth is that much of Iraq is peaceful right now due to the efforts of hundreds of thousands of troops both Iraqi, US and British for several years. That is the dirty little secret the drive-bys and evidently some of our rinos/rats don't want out.

There are hot-beds of terrorists who have successfully taken over small areas and occasionally a Haditha or two. But in general Iraq is on the way to self rule and we will start pulling troops out before the end of the year.

How that equates with every institution being under attack I don't know. More Rino BS.

Post #222, Grrreat stuff, but only digested a portion of it so far. It is so fantastic and encompasses so much info and Detective bloggery work, it must be read and re-read and re-read to fully appreciate the excellence. Sometimes I cannot believe how really masterful the Conservative Bloggers and posters are. It does not take more than a scintilla of info and the New Media capture it and run with it. Makes me smile ear to ear in just appreciation of that drive and talent.

Oh, Batiste has scored the Trifecta in talking points, nanging to use "boots on the ground", "accountability", and getting the RIGH secretary all in the same sentence. "Victory hangs in the balance" he says. Also says troops are stressed and overextended (Murtha talking points).

I hope I haven't missed George Allen. I thought this started at 12...but now I remember that was last year, before Indiana went on Daylight Savings Time.

Hillary will never win the Presidency unless there are at least three candidates running. With her money and ability to raise a lot more especially if she brings Slickie along she can dole it our here and there, but the Dems want to win so badly they can taste it, and they know they cannot win with the shrew. If Hillary tries to pull some crappola and stick it to others that are running against her you may see a lot more publications pointing valid fingers at her corruption/malfeasance. They will burn her if she gets in their path of having a Candidate for President that can actually win. They have valuable lessons in Gore and Kerry.

The Clinton era military generals are rabidly against the changes in the current military today, and envious of how well the military does without them. All this was seen in the entire "boots on the ground" argument over Iraq and the NO boots on the ground in Bosnia.

These are the same generals who turned tail at Haiti when there were thugs on the pier with clubs. These are the same generals who wanted to cut and run from Somalia. Most are contemptible and added to the reasons military recruitment and retention was so bad under Clinton.

I broke with my own rule against watching crap TV and caught the steffy show on ABC.

algore is a rolling train wreck! As I watch this guy I'm struck with the impression that I'm seeing what will probably be the first Vice President to be committed to a mental institution. Not only has he hung his fortunes on a total loser of an issue (global warming) but he's embraced and adopted the most extreme views of it, and determined to shove it down all of our throats, no matter how foolish and insane he reveals himself to be.

In algore's eyes we are already doomed.

I loved Southpark's ManBearPig episode because it captured the departure from reality that is algore better than criticism or ridicule ever could. One of the lines from it is a statement from algore that "Everyone is super-stoked on me (they just don't know it yet)"

Gawd I hope he runs again!

The key is the allies are on board with the preconditions.

The allies (and adversaries) agreed to the preconditions to get the US to agree to direct talks.  Now that that's a done deal the Iranians come back and refuse the preconditions.  The allies (and adversaries) say to the US "since you've agreed to direct talks, your preconditions are an obstacle and you must give ground on that too, otherwise we'll blame you."

It's the standard negotiating position of the axis of weasels and they taught it to the PLO.  Lie when you agree to something and never implement your side of the agreement, then demand that the other side (us or the Israelis) abide by every condition agreed to or we'll be called bad names.  I think they learned it from Tip O'Neill.

Thank heaven CNN has Maj. Gen. Shepperd on to contradict everything Batiste said, pointing out that those are his opinions, not fact, and the opinions of a very angry man.

Brig. Gen James Marks stops short of saying Rummy was "derelict" in his duty.

Brig. Gen. Grange also thinks they should have had more troops at the outset, but he was getting plenty of advice from the military.

Well, the three generals on Wolkf's panel do not agree with General Batiste.

Great observation about the absence of Time and Life at the checkouts--- it had not registered with me until you mentioned it.

Brig. Gen. Marks saying that the Newsweek comment that the troops don't spend time learning how to deal with foreign cultures is simply NOT TRUE.
