well, I'm sure glad the French have their economy and employment so under control (oh, yeah, and rioting, too) so they can fritter their thoughts on cosmetics....
... and will SOMEONE tell them that jealousy is ugly in any culture or language.

I think Juliette Binoche is pretty, and I liked Jet Lag even though it's a chick flick . . . but primarily because I like Jean Reno. I recommend the French version to anyone.

And when you are overly made up, you send out the message that you are overly sexual, that you want to be visible to attract men.
It is causing me great pain that I find myself in agreement with anything even remotely french, but I've got to agree with them here. Not so much about the makeup, but the clothing, the trollop-chic, cheap-streetwalker look that is so popular, particularly with girls way too young to be so sexualized.

Know what French women do in the summer?
They stink.

The French say Nicole Richie and Britney Spears have adopted the "overdone" look, while Madonna is forgiven since she is seen as a hard-nosed businesswoman and free spirit.
Jennifer Lopez escapes criticism because she is Hispanic and therefore culturally more exotic.
I'm sorry, but NOBODY I know here holds these celebs as beautiful. Or representative.
Now, those Simpson chicks....

French tell US beauties, spare your blushers
The purpose of it all the makeup anyway is the human version of the highly-colored posterior of a lower primate in estrus.
