Same here. My friend was also a music teacher, and her daughter had a group of white girls she was friends with from K-6th grade. When they got in 7th grade, the other black started giving this child a really hard time, to the point that to be accepted into their group she had to physically fight some of the white girls she had been friends with- which she did. She told one girl she jumped in a locker room (one whose home she had slept in) that she had to "stick to her kind".

And they wonder why white parents send their kids to public schools that are 90% white (at least where I come from) with the other 10% being Korean, Indian, etc.
Don't know about where you live, but here in the NY-area (outside of the city) white folks avoid black folks like the plague for situations such as those described.
