Absolutely whenever he has mentioned immigration it has always been the guest worker program.
It is dishonest for people that call themselves the base to say GWB has abandoned them on this issue. He has not changed his position so for the so called base to say this then it is them that have abandoned the President not the other way round.

The Senate Bill Bush pushes provides permanent legal residence to every illegal. Every illegal here more than 5 years gets permanent residence, and every illegal here less than five years need only purchase a crude forgery of a utility bill. They all get permanent residence, Green Cards, and EITC payouts.
Can you show where prior to the 2004 election Bush proposed providing wholescale permanent legal residence to essentially every illegal?
