I think it's high time we as Citizens start taking an active part in finding out where these Muzzies are in our own communities and monitoring their movements.

Perhaps even infiltrating them if we can to find out what it is they are up to.

More eyes and ears on the ground can't do anything but help our own security forces.

I find it interesting how the Toronto Star dances around the facts of this story and not until the end finds the courage to report that “its the children of Muslims” “that decide radical Islam is the path they want to take”. Lets not offend the parents and by no means can we just plainly call them Muslims. This article is a study in the meaning of words and timid political correctness. The fact that Muslim men are attempted to wreak havoc in Canada must be inferred around the end of the article.

At the beginning of the article “Local teenagers, and men in their 20s were spurred on by mistreatment of Muslims at home.” The Toronto Star is implying that its possible that they might have a valid reason for what they were planning. These men traveled to training camps “imitating Jihadists who had battle in Afghanistan”. Could it be that these are just misguided youths looking for a decent role model.

Then the Toronto Star make the bold statement that “two men came from Georgia to Toronto in March 2005 to meet with like-minded Islamic Extremist”. I don't know which Georgia they refer to, but could it be that these misguided youths are being badly influenced by these unknown people from Georgia. Picking up a head of steam, the Toronto Star is now saying that the “math and chemistry whiz from Scarborough who grew up to become a 22-year-old husband and father” might have been influence by a like-minded Islamic Extremist.

The Toronto Star decides to place the cart before the horse when they say that, “None of these allegations have been proven in court, where the suspects are expected to appear...”. Does the Canadian justice system first find you guilty of a crime and then arrest you or are they stressing that these people are presumed innocent.

Sorry about the long post but I just find this article strange.

I went to a Tim Horton's this morning. No one blew up, but then again, I used the drive thru window. If some innocent sap had happened to blow up, however, I'm sure that he would have a name other than "Unnamed Victim." If he remained nameless, it would obviously point to something more nefarious, as in the case of the Toronto incident.

"... but I just find this article strange."

Damned right you do ...
... and, if you read the red Star on any regular basis, not only will it lower your IQ but, you'll find yourself sipping raspberry zinfandel & talking with your girlfriends about your feelings !!!

When I started out initially trying to grab stuff to post on the terror cell bust, I opted for detailed content over apparent spin figuring conservatives would get past the latter.

For the longest time, starting last night when the story broke, it was tough finding e-content for FR posting even though the news was all over radio & TV.

Officers later found two loaded handguns taped to Dirie's inner thighs — a Millennium PT 19mm and a .380 Calibre Jennings. In his socks they found a magazine for a semi-automatic handgun and "several rounds of ammunition," according to the court transcripts.

In the meantime, we are treated to this and this from our air marshals.

BTW, I read in this story on the Drudge report that the "youths" had acquired three tons of ammonium nitrate. I would have thought all of our sophisticated tracking and ID procedures around the purchase would have been followed in Canada too, and so prevented this...

Based upon the totality of the media coverage I've read/heard, including the local stuff, it's pretty clear the cops were well aware of what these guys were up to for the better part of 2 years.

Why they waited as long as they did to finally spring the trap - who knows ???

Although, by bagging 17 of them - so far? -, it appears to have been a highly productive wait.

To: GMMAC; All

Those arrested:
1. Fahim Ahmad, 21, Toronto;
6. Mohammed Dirie, 22, Kingston, Ont.;
7. Yasim Abdi Mohamed, 24, Kingston;

These are the three mentioned in the article. Do you suppose Dirie and Mohamed moved to Kingston because the heat was too high on them after they got busted with guns at the border?

Also, the article discusses the target being the Toronto headquaters of CSIS. The address is 277 Front Street West - directly across the street from the CBC Broadcast Centre. An attack there would also be very close to the CN Tower, the Skydome/Rogers Centre and the western leads of Union Station. I think I will now change my route to work!

Goes against their Agenda......

There is a book,:

Unholy Alliance : Radical Islam and the American Left (Hardcover)

*******************************

And a review:

****************************************

Communism is dead. Long live Islam!, September 30, 2004

Reviewer: Kevin Beckman (Sacramento, CA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
It sounds absurd: why would Leftists make common cause with a religion that is diametrically opposed to everything the Left stands for? David Horowitz explains that it is really quite logical given the Left's first principle: America is evil and anything or anyone opposed to America is good.

Part I of the book is a brief history of 9/11 through the end of major combat operations in Iraq, and the Left's behavior during this time. Horowitz includes the reaction of Katha Pollitt of The Nation magazine: "The flag stands for vengeance, and jingoism, and war." Anthropology Professor Nicholas De Genova of Columbia University said he hoped for "a million Mogadishus." His colleagues objected, not to the despicable sentiment, but because of the bad publicity it brought their "teach-in." Our tax dollars at work!

Part II is the heart of the book: a history of the American and international Left. Horowitz calls them Neo-Communists or Neocoms. The Neocoms of old believed in the Soviet Union the way religious people believe in God. Those who spied for the USSR didn't see themselves as traitors to their country, but rather loyalists to humanity and an ideal of America that's never existed. When the Soviet Union fell, a few of them stopped for some introspection but most pressed on as if nothing happened. Communist historian Eric Hobsbawm put it nicely: "Without the Revolution, my life and my work are meaningless."

Now that they no longer have to defend an indefensible regime, modern Neocoms are simply nihilists. They know what they oppose but they have no plans for the aftermath of the revolution which they still believe will happen. They don't know what they want, but they know what they hate: the United States, capitalism personified.

So why are they allying with radical Islam? Horowitz says that the Neocoms still believe in Marx's dictum that "religion is the opiate of the masses." Once private property is abolished, the need for religion will vanish, and Islamic radicals will stop being Islamic and radical. The only thing standing in the way is the United States.

Sound insane? It is. They are. I highly recommend this book. Horowitz makes the insanity understandable.

RCMP sold the Terrorists the Nitrate Fertilizer.....

RCMP Went Undercover For Raid

***************************AN EXCERPT ****************************

The Toronto Star reports this morning that the RCMP itself sold the Toronto terror cell the three tons of ammonium nitrate it planned to use for devastating attacks on Canada. The Mounties moved to capture all of the suspects as soon as the deal for the fertilizer concluded:
