Snow: Flow of illegals not an 'invasion'
Spokesman says Article 4 of Constitution doesn't apply to border issue
Saying Mexico is "not the enemy," presidential press secretary Tony Snow today rejected the characterization of the constant flow of illegal aliens over the U.S. border as an "invasion."
At today's White House press briefing, WND asked the spokesman: "Article 4, Section 4 of the Constitution says, 'The United States shall guarantee to every state in the Union a republican form of government and shall protect each of them from foreign invasion.' My question is, does the president believe this foreign invasion means only armed invasion, or doesn't this also mean the invasion of millions of illegal immigrants?"
Responded Snow: "I think what you are doing is you're attaching a martial connotation to something that does not have martial consequences. …
"What the president has said – if you were talking about an invasion, he's made it clear that Mexico is not the enemy."
WND also asked Snow about a lawsuit by war veteran Sgt. Peter Damon, who lost both of his arms in Iraq. Damon has sued Michael Moore for using clips without his permission in "Fahrenheit 9/11" to give the false impression that he opposed the war.
"I didn't lose my arms over there to come back and be used as ammunition against my commander in chief," Damon was quoted as saying.
"If he is asked," queried WND, "will this commander in chief be willing to testify in court on behalf of this double amputee sergeant?"
Snow called it a "hypothetical question"
"Please don't put me in the position of trying to answer to a lawsuit between somebody who served his country and Michael Moore," Snow said. "We'll let them deal with it."
Spin. A complete Snow job. There is nothing in the word "invasion" that necessarily connotes a martial meaning. Snow is the one who is trying to attach that meaning to it in order to demonize anyone who protests against this attempted subversion of the rule of law and he is doing it at the behest of the President.
OR be an aide to David Brooks as Mark Shields DOMINATES HIM...
Shields is such a Moonbat.. but he steals Brooks lunch money every time.. maybe Snow can hold Brooks shoulders when he bends over and assumes "the position" for Shields... on pBS..

Yes there is and it's quite easy to demonstrate. One third of our Federal Prison inmates are illegal aliens. That is 100,000 inmates coming from 11 million illegal aliens. The other two thirds, 200,000 inmates, come from the legal population of 295 million. The discrepancy in those ratios is obvious and astounding.

Nearly one percent of illegals are currently incarcerated for felonies as opposed to less than 1/10th of one percent of the legal population. Those numbers don't lie. Those illegals in prison are not there for violating immigration laws, either.
There are probably at least a million illegals in our country right now who are either wanted for felonies or who have been tried, convicted, sentenced, deported and then came right back the first chance they got. The criminal elements of other countries see this as a land of opportunity as well as those "just here to work".
Don't forget the 3 - 4 million illegals (the Feds know who they are and where they work BTW) who stole an American Citizens SSN to obtain employment. That is Identity Theft and is a Federal Felony. Also, illegals and other non-citizens who are voting in our elections are committing a Felony as well.
AFAIC the Senate and the President are aiding and abetting.

Laura's show is funny, who is really starting to concern me is Glenn Beck... He now has a CNN TV show and I listened to his radio show today, he sounds like a mega liberal, and a few of his listeners told him that! one guy told him that he was turning into michael moore! LOL
