Excellent satellite pictures! Can you locate the village "Al Subbayhat?"

----
"in the village (Al Subbayhat) part of the district of Karma in Fallujah in a quarry region that was used by SamSung Korean company and close to the homes of some citizens. "

At first blush, I would guess that to be an atomic accelerator for cracking nuclear tidbits, i.e., weapons related.

I've tried, it doesn't even google. Perhaps this lake compound of houses is the village of Al Subbayhat?

Remember that's an English phonetic spelling of an Iraqi name. It's very likely there are several equally valid spellings.

Al Subbayat? Al-Subbayhat? Al Subayyat? (etc)

And forgotten by everyone apparently. Digging in Iraq must be very hazardous.

It's a really big map, and Al Subbayhat isn't on it, and it doesn't name the lake either. However I did discover the secret of the green pool, it's part of a transformer (salvage) yard, they must be cutting them open and dumping the coolant into a quarry.

Evidently the Iraqis don't worry about toxic chemicals in this area.

Even this map shows the walls around the lake complex, but doesn't name it.

There appear to be several likely sites. SOme small ones and at least one large one that Avacado pointed out.

Excellent work! I found these satellite maps of Fallujah. I don't see any district called Karma. If we can find the district of Karma then we can zero in on Al- Subbayhat. Karma is 9 miles NE of Fallujah.

Satellite maps of Fallujah:

More info on the district of Karam:

----
"Karma, a predominantly Sunni community of 75,000 people about nine miles (15 kilometers) northeast of Falluja.

Karma sprawls for miles along the canals of the Euphrates River, with its little communities of sandy brick houses, each separated by the bright colors of laundry hanging out to dry. Patches of bright green grass dot the landscape."
http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/meast/01/25/karma.election/index.html
----

From reading the above, I think that quarry area with the wall is not the area of interest.

Karma map (but not a good one)

Karma = I should have known dame fate would play her hand.

what do you put on a bunch of concrete slabs?

Warehouses of Mass Destruction.

Karma is a farming community with no signs of quarries as described in the memo, so when I originally looked in the surround area I was looking for only those things that would be or could be quarry sites.(<---<<< me covering rear).

I still believe that the lake site is interesting because it is so different from the rest of the area and because Saddam was said to have hidden some WMDs sites under an artificial lakes by a UN inspector.

Yep, in that second picture, that is Karma! I saw it on this link: http://www.fallingrain.com/world/IZ/10/Abu_Karmah.html

It's in the little window that you can scroll.

Okay, lets regroup. What we know is: Karma district -> village al Sabbayhat -> near quarry (SamSung) -> with homes nearby.

So far:

Karma district (found)
village al Sabbyhat (not found)
quarry (not found)

What is that mark you have that says: "warehouse of mass destruction?" Did you mark that?

I used the word quarry because it is the closed thing in English to " Stone excavation" as these are the Arabic word written in the memo is "MAKLAA". May be I should have just written "Stone Excavation" if quarry is causing some confusion. Nothing in the memo says that the "Exxacavation" site was filled with water.

See post 155 regarding the explanation for Quarry. May be it is confusing some folks thinking that a Quarry is an excavation site that must be filled with water. In this case the memo just talk about excavation site (stone excavation) but nothing about filling it with water.

A quarry is a basicly stone bowl. In most cases (besides a desert) it will eventually fill with water unless the water is constantly pumped out.

What makes this spot interesting to me is that someone had to pump the water in to fill it, and based upon the size of the lake they had to pump in a lot of water and the nearest sources are miles away.

I put the "Warehouses of Mass Destruction" on my google earth to identify them.

It doesn't appear on the google earth main server unless I or someone else puts it there. Right now the only ones that have seen them marked that way is anyone that has read this thread.

I still do not understand. Who is saying that those are "Warehouses of Mass Destruction?" Where did that information come from?

I am confused on that point.

Can you zero in on the Karma area? My thoughts are that the quarry area that you are interested in is not the area.
