Peter King: I'll Probe CIA 'Orgies'
NewsMax.com ^ | June 2, 2006 | Carl Limbacher

House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Peter King is lashing out at his fellow Republicans in Washington after Homeland Security Czar Michael Chertoff cut anti-terrorism funding for New York City, warning Thursday morning that unless the cuts are restored, he'll launch an investigation into what he called "orgies" involving CIA agents at the Watergate hotel.

"[The cut] to me raises very serious questions about the judgment and the sincerity of the Department [of Homeland Security] and everything they do," King told WABC Radio's John Gambling. "If they can't get something like this right, how can we trust them to get anything right?"

King then threatened: "So I am going to be investigating them from top to bottom and one clear example is this whole scandal with [ex-]Congressman Duke Cunningham, which has now unfolded to include orgies at the Watergate hotel."

Last month, a top advisor to former CIA Director Porter Goss was forced to resign after admitting that he attended poker parties at the Watergate arranged by a lobbyist-friend of Cunningham's, where published reports claimed that prostitutes were present.

But there have been no allegations that anyone engaged in "orgies."

Still, an angry King vowed to blow the lid off the scandal, saying it involves "prostitutes and booze and gambling and CIA agents."

"People were driven to the Watergate hotel for these orgies in limousines," King claimed. "The limousine company is owned by a convicted criminal that lost their previous contracts with school districts because they were incompetent. And the Department of Homeland Security gave them a $21 million contract to drive their top officials around Washington."

The New York Republican continued to fume: "They could find $21 million to give to a company owned by a criminal which drives around pimps and prostitutes, and they cut $80 million for the city of New York.

"That says to me a lot about their judgment," he added.

Responding to King's complaint, Homeland Security spokeswoman Tracy Henke told Gambling that New York City had received $568 million in federal security funding since 2003 - on top of the $20 billion in reconstruction aid earmarked to help rebuild lower Manhattan in the wake of the Sept. 11 attacks.

IF transportation to said orgies was provided by you and I - then yeah, don't ya think an investigation is in order?

King hit the national spotlight on the Port deal and now he believes he is somebody. He comes across as a real oinker at the public trough. Looks like one too.

I don't care if New York gets one thin dime, but I do care if the CIA and Homeland Security are throwing our money away. Investigate. This is an outrage.

Even if it turned out to be true?

I'm with you. If it's true, it's an outrage.

"Yeah, whatever happened to honoring others' private lives?"

And didn't the Clintonoids keep telling us that it was only sex and had nothing to do with Bubba's ability to be Prez? Same should go for others, should it not? Hypocrites!

It's an outrage (if true) on many levels: morality, waste of public funds, security risks . . .

So I'll say again what I seemed to miss before: his implied quid pro quo is quite corrupt. Nassau County can do much better than this turkey.

Geez...it's just about sex. At least, unlike Clinton, they got a hotel room.

If they give him the money he won't investigate this corruption?

That's what it sounds like... In my book, they better do the investigation no matter what... and when they're done they can investigate King for making the prid pro quo ( spelled wrong) offer... What an outrage.

Look New York City IS the number one target. Cutting funding 40% with the snippy comments the Homeland Security official made to Peter King shows the mentality of some of those folks.

Peter King says they've changed their story five time in less than 2 days.

Based on all of that, he has a right to be pissed. And I'm glad he is.

Yes, the threat can be reduced but "other areas" getting "undue" monies is besides the point. The engine of the country and the focal point of New York is not leaving the radar screen of terrorists any time soon.

Again, Peter King is right to be angry. He's doing his job for the region as he's a Congressman from Long Island (about 30 miles from NYC).

Shouldn't there also be a story looking into why the outraged Peter King ignored investigating and outing these 'orgies' until funds for his state were reduced? Why was he looking the other way until yesterday?

Do you think that hiring prostitutes is an appropriate use of government funds? I don't.

I don't know if it's appropriate, but it's nothing new. One of our founding fathers did it. (See #58.)

Okay great. Put me on the list for a $1,000 a night call girl.
You pay the tab but leave me $200 for her tip.
Thanks.

The government spending for hookers for foreign officials is one thing.
Using public money to get hookers for themselves is entirely another.

Do we also pay for the hooker's abortion?

Look New York City IS the number one target.

Do we know that for certain? However, the terrorists may change their strategy to impact more of the U.S.

McVeigh may not have been an Arab terrorist, but he did target Oklahoma City.

I'm not saying it's appropriate or not. I am saying that, if true, it's nothing new.

What did King know, when did he know it ... and why did he conceal it for so long?

Who else knew?

Who got what for keeping the secret?

Did the CIA know, and when did they know it? How high up did the information go?

How long has this been going on? Did Homeland Security know? And keep the information? Why?

Blow the lid off the whole stinking mess.

Now I understand now why these creeps want to let illegals into my country ... they don't care about the law anymore than the folks who walk across the border.

Calling Hannity, O'Reilly, New York Times, Newsweek, FOX News....

More accurately "extortion".

If any state is cut to restore the NYC money, they should look into the Watergate orgies...Never mind, the media is probably already on that scent since (The) King indicated it has GOP legs.
