It is. I was so happy. And it's such a lovely rose. Right now I only have two others blooming and only one or 2 blooms at that. I wish they would get a move on now. :)

Believe it or not. I got it on the Internet. I think it was Edmund's roses.com. They sell excellent roses. I have to double check that is the right web site. :)
I can't believe how names affect my purchases. World War II Memorial Rose, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Memorial Day to name just a few. LOL :)

Great idea. I will see if the local garden center has any or can order them for me.
Thanks for the idea.

You all have a far different spring that we do here near Houston..Was it in February I picked a few roses and even a bird planted sunflower was blooming! We did not have winter really..Dallas gets more ice and snow..mostly more ice. I imagine you have much cooler summers, too!

Oh no, I just went to the site, Edmunds Roses, and they are no longer taking orders for anything. :( The Internet is an excellent place to buy roses.
WWII is an excellent shape bush too. Here's a picture of WWII From last year -- Not the best pic but you get an idea. :)

Our spring takes so long to get going and then quickly it becomes hot and very humid here. I love our fall weather. I only wish winter's cold weather didn't follow. :) You are lucky for longer warmer weather.

:) It's so pretty. A hardy rose too. They picked the right rose to be named WWII.

No. It's not bad but it is a hybrid tea. I do spray roses from time to time with a fungicide. If you see trouble with foliage, they sell some in a can so it is very easy to spray on foliage and safe. Fertilize and water and it's one pretty tough rose bush. I lost some from our extreme cold winter a year ago and I was happily surprised, it didn't affect WWII Memorial rose at all.
Memorial Rose is very pretty also and hardy. I need to plant a Barbara Bush rose. :)
