Insurgents kill innocents every day over there. They behead people, they shoot them in the head and dump the bodies or just plain "blow them up". Where's Murtha's outrage??
We have family here visiting so I've not been able to keep up with new reports coming out about this story.
Since the military has been investigating for a month or so, how is it they can know much of ANYTHING without having examined the bodies? I thought this had already happened and forensic evidence had matched bullets, etc.
Since even this most basic evidence-gathering has not happened, it's really shocking that Murtha has felt so comfortable jumping to conclusions.
I will say that I think the left was emboldened when the Bush administration did not defend itself or the military against the trumped up Abu Graib charges. There was absolutely no torture that went on in that prison that we know about, but we have military men and women and the president apologizing all over the place.
No forensic evidence yet they are guilty. Nice Murtha you fat lying s.o.b.
