God bless our troops fighting for our freedoms.

Rep. Murtha, you are a partisan hack and not fit to clean their boots.

"Although Murtha alludes to informants in the Pentagon..."

Informants my butt.

As a member of congress (House Appropriations Committee and the Subcommittee on Defense) he asks for and receives regular intel briefings.

It seems that the the classified briefings he receives end up as his "talking points."

Argh.

Dunn hit the nail on the head, Murtha's actions are despicable.

God bless our troops.

As someone who never served in the military, I feel very reluctant to criticize Rep. Murtha.

That being said, I feel his actions are treasonous in that he is doing his utmost to portray our military in a bad light, and thereby undermine President Bush and our efforts in Iraq and in the WOT.

Since I have never served in the military I must ask... Am I wrong to feel this way and to express my opinions about Rep. Murtha?

I invite those who HAVE served to let me know how they feel. If I'm wrong I'll shut up and never mention it again.

Just because he wore the uniform doesn't mean he's righteous. Lots of Americans wore the uniform but turned out to be yellow-bellied, sniveling cowards.

War is Hell - People get killed! Haditha is/was a cess pool of terrorists!

The John Murtha's in our congress and senate are using this unfinished story to further tie the hands of our fighting men and women just as the McCain bill on immigration has tied the hands of all law enforcement or will if that part of the bill is ever passed.

Abe Lincoln would have Murtha, Kerry, Kennedy, McCain etc. behind bars or worse.............

"Murtha later accused the Marine Corps of attempting a cover-up. No evidence of such a thing exists on the public record.

Ah c'mon. This happened SIX months ago. Somebody told, Murtha didn't see it. I'm sure the Marines have something similar to this "We will not lie, steal or cheat, nor tolerate among us anyone who does." - U.S. Air Force Academy Honor Code

I served in the Marine Corps. I'm now a former Marine and consider Murtha to be a disgraceful EX-Marine. And I know there are plenty of other jarheads (not to mention members of other branches!) who feel the same way.

Although Murtha alludes to informants in the Pentagon, his version of the story has been challenged on several counts. His claim that troops were not under fire after the IED explosion that killed Lance Cpl. Miguel Terrazas are contradicted by tapes of radio traffic made at the time. Furthermore, the father of the dead Marine has gone on record to state that his son’s squad mates told him that they were under fire from the house in question. If true, this might change the complexion of events.

Murtha and others should be ashamed of themselves

This case is NOTHING like My Lai

However they are using it to paint the entire military as bad and evil

They are trying to do to todays troops .. what they did to the Vets of Vietnam

In America, in both the civilian and military justice systems, you are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Murtha, however, has an agenda that trumps such values.

Rep. Murtha, you are a partisan hack .............

Murtha is more than that:

Is there any way that Murtha can be brought on charges of Treason.
And why is he tooting his horn now?
Where does he get the intel from after 5 months?
I know a lot of questions.
