My reply was is the best game to show you, your opponents character. That's why it's good to go golfing with a prospective pastor. What a rare glimpse into the soul such a golf game can be!

From the tone on this thread you would think Bill and Hill were about power and the money. How can you think such a thing? Don't you remember what he offered this country? Don't you have a clue?
He....oh, yeah...now I remember. Never mind!

If how you keep score in golf is the best way to show your character, then what does it say about me that I've never kept score (to the annoyance of my friends whom I'm playing with, who are usually very competitive). I play about 4 or 5 times a year and never take mulligans, move the ball etc.. I just have fun playing the ball from where it lands without being distracted by having to remember how many strokes it took to make it into the hole.

I find it a bit difficult to believe that a 'competitor' like Tiger Woods thinks it is COOL to play with such an OBVIOUS CHEATER! simmma down...this wasnt the Masters, ya know!
To: spinestein
Tiger is being the politician here. He just had slick willie at the opening of some sort of golf school for children. (at least I think it was some sort of golf school)

exactly..one of the best rounds of golf I ever played was with my little brother. I hadn't played golf with him in years and years. when I made it to texas with my sticks I told him I'd pay for both of us if neither kept score. it was about fun, family and conversation with no pressure to win.

I can see it now.....Clinton pulls this stunt on the 12th and disappears in the rough on the 13th. A nationally televised low speed chase on electric golf carts, with Al "Big Caddy" Cowlings driving. LOL! I had not considered that possible turn of events!

I glad this wasn't an "exhibition" game. WJC might show us his briefs. Or worse...I can't say it.

As a Army BRAT, worked at a golf course at Fort Lee VA . We opened at 5:30 AM ea day. A male major signed in and went to the first tee. The golf pro said "bet he posts a 72 today". Sure enough after the Maj returned to the club house he posted a score of 72. So the Pro asked the Maj if he would like to play 18 holes. Major had more excuses then all the chiggers in Va. After the Maj left the Pro said that he had followed the Maj more then once as the Maj played. After the Maj had made 72 strokes he packed it in and returned to the club house. So the Maj was a big laugh around the club house and it members. This was well before Clinton know what a golf club was.

I didn't mention keeping score, character comes out by how you honor the game and your opponents.
If someone will cheat at a game , why wouldn't they do the same in a business deal?
To: John D
Clinton is nothing but another ex-President now. He's no more fearsome than Jimmy Carter.

I'm surprised Woods would play with Clinton. Clinton wanted to use Woods for something when he was still in office (maybe to honor a black athlete?) and Woods had the class to tell him, "No, thanks."
