This guy from Insight on the News is pretty good.

His analysis of what is wrong in the WH is unsettling, but it may be too correct. Something is definitely wrong inside the WH.

Many 'snowflakes' thought the new Press Sec would work wonders. Trouble is, the PS is a mouthpiece, not a policy making position. The position is changing the PS, not the other way around.

Oh, I'm glad you mentioned Patano. I don't know all the particulars of what he was accused, but I remember Savage referring to him.

Did you see what he wrote?:

Mr. Murtha's Rush to Judgment by Marine Ilario Pantano (A Marine charged with Murder; Then Cleared)
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1639888/posts

A year ago I was charged with two counts of premeditated murder and with other war crimes related to my service in Iraq. My wife and mother sat in a Camp Lejeune courtroom for five days while prosecutors painted me as a monster; then autopsy evidence blew their case out of the water, and the Marine Corps dropped all charges against me ["Marine-Officer-Cleared in-Killing-of-Two-Iraqis," news-story, May 27, 2005].

So I know something about rushing to judgment, which is why I am so disturbed by the remarks of Rep. John P. Murtha (D-Pa.) regarding the Haditha incident ["Death Toll Rises in Haditha Attack, GOP Leader Says," news story, May 20]. Mr. Murtha said, "Our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them, and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood."

In the United States, we have a civil and military court system that relies on an investigatory and judicial process to make determinations based on evidence. The system is not served by such grand pronouncements of horror and guilt without the accuser even having read the investigative report.

Mr. Murtha's position is particularly suspect when he is quoted by news services as saying that the strain of deployment "has caused them [the Marines] to crack in situations like this." Not only is he certain of the Marines' guilt but he claims to know the cause, which he conveniently attributes to a policy he opposes.

Members of the U.S. military serving in Iraq need more than Mr. Murtha's pseudo-sympathy. They need leaders to stand with them even in the hardest of times. Let the courts decide if these Marines are guilty. They haven't even been charged with a crime yet, so it is premature to presume their guilt -- unless that presumption is tied to a political motive.

ILARIO PANTANO

Jacksonville, N.C.

Bush sounded like he was a prisoner of Al-Qaeda and they had the sword to his his head and were forcing him to say these words. I'm sure there's a lot going on we don't know about but still being a 'Christian' means with God behind you who can be against you.

Hmmmm, sword to head, forced words, now that conjures up an interesting image, and you're right, he does sound like he's shaking in his boots and is saying whatever he has to say to save his life, quivering, stuttering, unfocused, just babbling,,,,,,lol madeline halfbright, OMG, that's funny!.........

Reporter: Mr. President what do you think about the Haditha Massacre?

President: Our military are the best trained, finest people in the world. I will not stand by and let these courageous people be tried in the media. They are innocent until proven guilty. I stand behind these brave men and women that risk their lives on a daily basis--blah, blah, blah.

Now you answer the question that you have refused to answer--Do you think President Bush sounded like a great leader of our military/nation when asked about Haditha?

He may as well have been, based on the way he was quivering, stuttering and totally unfocused on what he was saying.........

I did. I'm not on your back. I was nice enough to post something he could have said. If you don't want to debate, then why are you on this thread. President Bush is not above criticism. He's not a god.

"I wish he would act like the brave Christian he purported to be when he ran for Prez."

He blew that phoney image when he left Terri Schiavo to die of starvation. Then the day after her death he had the gaul to say: "It is the duty of the powerful to protect the weak". Bush is no more Christian than Bill Clinton is. Christianity is far more than just having your picture taken with a Bible in your hand in front of some church.

"he's sounds like a 4 year old, geeeeez, really bad, OMG, he's stuttering, can't think of the proper words, this is not good."

Did Bush ever have the ability to speak well? I don't think so.

Holy Crow!

You mean a media darling show came on.. on time?

Or is the novelty in that it came on at all? Really, these things are predictable.

My local news will come on as predicted at 0500 tomorrow.. where's the drama?

Worshipping a talker is pretty pathetic.

President Bush has never been known for his communication but there are certain times when you think he would get his dander up and the words/passion would start flowing. Support for our military should be one of those times.
