Oh, I thought it was to make sure they wouldn't smuggle Krispy Kremes into the break room.

"lice."
Uh miss, I though these were chocolate sprinkles. Why are they moving around on my donut?

I'm glad Dunkin' Donuts is volunteering to participate in this program. Perhaps we can shame other business to join as well?
Not that the government procedure makes much sense:
Participating employers must check on all new employees within three days of hiring, but cannot check before hiring and cannot check on current employees. Companies must post a notice about the program in a visible location.
Got that? You can make legal status a requirement for employment, but you can't check the potential employee's status until after you've hired them. They need to shoot the bureaucrat that came up with that plan.

So they can send them back to Pakistan?Around here, they're the owners!
(And as long as they're legal, I'm fine with that)

Wondering if the feds/employers already know that the ids are fake. Has to be obvious to them. Especially, if they start deducting from the employee's pay check.
Guessing that the government have known all along but like all other aspects of this mess, they probably looked the other way.
First Katrina and now this mess. Actually, this "mess" has been around for decades. Then there were the LA riots. Why do we pay our taxes again?
The feds are pretty nasty if you don't pay your taxes. Maybe if you used a fake SS # you'd be okay?
Another reason to think that crime does pay.
