Yeah, I've got around 15 ports visits somewhere in the gulf...mainly sand box visits later, but real trips into Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and a couple of other places in the early (1992) timeframe.

Hum..Things must have changed since the days I was out there. When we were out there (mid 80s) the Big E always stayed out in the IO. There were cruisers, auxiliaries and the like in the Gulf, but the Big E never entered the gulf (at least that was what I was told by the Engineering Officer).
