Perhaps if Dean didn't back killing babies and homosexual 'marriage', the Dems might stand a chance.
This bloke is a 24 carat lunatic!

Guess Howard is going to be breaking out the Gospel of Job for a refresher course.

The religious voters didn't embrace the Republican Party by choice. They vote Republican because the Democrats drove them away.

Right, you can't memorize a couple of handy "God talk" phrases and get by with that. Ain't gonna work. Boy, I can't wait until one of them tries that, that opens up all sorts of doors!

They want religious votes, but they don't want the voters' values.
The religious right either votes Republican or they stay home, which is nearly as good as voting for a Democrat.

"To that end, Dean recently appeared on Pat Robertson's "700 Club." The appearance wasn't without its bumps. Dean had to later apologize to gay-rights leaders for incorrectly stating during the program that the party's platform said "marriage is between a man and a woman." "
I wish I had seen that interview. I bet it was a hoot...

"Dean had to later apologize to gay-rights leaders for incorrectly stating during the program that the party's platform said "marriage is between a man and a woman."
It's always easy to apologize after the fact, especially when the apology will get no air time, is only made to a select group.
"Our Democratic values are American values," Dean said. "Most people in this county, including evangelicals, think it's immoral to let children go to bed hungry at night. They think it's immoral not to have everyone in some kind of health insurance."
Forget it Dean, as long as your party promotes killing babies, and homosexual special rights, you have no morals. While Christians do believe it's immoral to knowing let children go to bed hungry, we are also the first to step up and do something about it. We are also the first to reach out in others ways, hence the term, "Faith Based Initiative" And Health insurance is an employment issue, not a moral one. The immoral issue in health care is the cost and Big Pharmaceuticals, pushing drugs (chemicals) instead of cures since there is no money in cure, or vaccine's for that matter.

If he keeps killing babies and bending over for gays he isn't going to get anywhere.

It sounds crazy when Dean says it, and is obviously hugely cynical.
However, the Rats already get a lot of votes from evangelicals, not to mention traditional Catholics. They will probably get more this year, for the same reasons that they get votes from other groups.
These people are not the solid right-wingers that they are in some people's imagination. Most are concerned with things other than social issues, not just social issues. And on the social issues, the GOP has tended to deliver too little, too late.

Guess Howard is going to be breaking out the Gospel of Job for a refresher course. BWA HAHAHAHA! What Dean needs to pick up is a copy of The Prayer of Job at his local Christian bookstore. He could use it.
But at least he's admitting the Dems don't enjoy the majority vote, unlike McAuliffe and Gore in 2000 and 2004
