Russian State Duma seeks ways to take Crimea back
The State Duma of the Russian Federation intends to inquire the government how to take Crimea back to Russia. Today Dumas members by majority have backed the corresponding protocol message to the Duma Committees on the International Affairs and CIS.
Regarding the bilateral agreement on Russias recognition of Ukraines current frontiers until 2007, Russia should claim a non-prolongation of the agreement and restitution of Crimea in accordance with the Kuchuk-Kainardzhijsk Agreement of 1774, the Duma envoys told.
According to the agreement of 1774, Russia and Ottoman Empire recognized Crimea as free and absolutely independent of any irrelevant influence. The parts of Azov coast, Kerch and Yeni-Kale, the territory between Dnepr and Boog River passed to Russia.
Some experts emphasise that Russias attempt to revise the Ukraine-Russia Agreement backfires and may be fraught with serious consequences for its G-8 membership.

Crimeans angry at the opressive regime in control of Ukraine will no doubt welcome this news, and the freedom it'd represent.

"The territory between Dnepr and Boog River passed to Russia", that's most of the territory of present day Ukraine.

(Historically Crimea was never part of Ukraine, it was annexed into Ukraine in 1954)
Demographics
By 2005 total population of Crimea is 1,994,300.
According to 2001 Ukrainian Census, the population of Crimea comprised the following self-reported ethnic groups:
Russians - 58.32%
Ukrainians - 24.32%
Crimean Tatars - 12.1%
Belarusians - 1.44%
Tatars - 0.54%
Armenians - 0.43%
Jews - 0.22%
Other minorities are Poles, Azerbaijanis, Koreans, Greeks, Germans, Roma people.
Even though the Ukrainian language is the single official state language countrywide, and is therefore the sole language of government elsewhere in the Ukraine, this does not apply in Crimea, where government business is still carried out in Russian. Limited attempts to expand the usage of Ukrainian in education and government affairs have so far been less successful in Crimea than in other largely Russophone areas of the nation. Other language widely spoken is Crimean Tatar. According to the census mentioned above 77% of Crimean inhabitants named Russian as their mother tongue, 11.4% - Crimean Tatar and 10.1% - Ukrainian.

Russian Duma should ban itself, anyway they are just frontage organization without of any influence on the policy of the country. This is exactly the reason why they want a least decide what foreign countries should do. Too much vodka plus lack of ability to think constructively and foolish imperialism = Russian politicians.

It's also part of the terroritory of the Original Rus who were centered in Kiev and chose to move their capital to Vladimir, also within this territory. The notion of a separate Ukrainian ethnic is a farce:

Once again you could care less about the freedoms of Crimeans who've had their language and culture banned throughout the rest of Ukraine.

(Historically Crimea was never part of Ukraine, it was annexed into Ukraine in 1954) Historically Crimea is not Russian for sure. Russian lands are around Moscow, the rest is taken by conquest.

The fact remains Crimeans WANT to be in Russia, 60% of them are ethnic Russians, 15% are Tatars, who already live quite happily in Russia, BOTH groups are OPRESSED by the minority Ukrainians in Crimea, and reject the anti-Crimea government of Ukraine.
Only foreign liars would say that a 1954 decision of the Soviet government should mandate that present day Ukraine be able to opress Crimeans.

There's no DNA, there's no history, there's no separate culture. All there is is an influx of galacians invaders, and a regional slavic dialect; there is no Ukrainian ethnicity.

Vladimir II Monomakh
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Vladimir Monomakh (Russian: ???????? ???????; Ukrainian: ????????? ???????; Christian name Vasiliy, or Basil) (1053 -- May 19, 1125) was undoubtedly the best loved Velikiy Kniaz of Kievan Rus. He was the son of Vsevolod I by an anonymous daughter of Emperor Constantine IX Monomachos, from whom he takes his nickname of Monomakh ("One who fights alone").
Through his maternal grandmother's family, Vladimir was apparently a descendant of Argyros and Skleros families of Byzantium, and thus could have traced his bloodline to several other emperors such as Romanus I and Leo V. These Greek connections played an important role in his foreign affairs.
In his famous Instruction to his own children, Monomakh mentions that he conducted 83 military campaigns and 19 times made peace with the Polovtsi. At first he waged war against the steppe jointly with his cousin Oleg of Chernigov, but after Vladimir was sent by his father to rule Chernigov and Oleg made peace with the Polovtsi to retake that city from him, they parted company. Since that time, Vladimir and Oleg were bitter enemies who would often engage in internecine wars. The enmity continued among their children and more distant posterity.
Monomakh rests after hunting.
From 1094, his chief patrimony was the Southern town of Pereyaslav, although he also controlled Rostov, Suzdal, and other Northern provinces. In these lands he founded several towns, notably his namesake, Vladimir, the future capital of Russia. In order to unite Russian princes in their struggle against the Great Steppe, Vladimir initiated three princely congresses, the most important being held at Lyubech in 1097 and Dolobsk in 1103. When Sviatopolk II died in 1113, the Kievan populace revolted and summoned Vladimir to the capital. The same year he entered Kiev to the great delight of crowd and reigned there until his death in 1125. As may be seen from his Instruction, he promulgated a number of reforms in order to allay the social tensions in the capital. These years saw the last flowering of Kievan Rus, which was torn apart 10 years after his death. Vladimir was married three times: firstly to Gytha of Wessex, then to a Byzantine noblewoman and finally to a daughter of a Kipchak khan. By his first marriage he had Mstislav, his illustrious heir. Among the children by second wife were Yury Dolgoruky, the founder of Moscow, and two daughters: Eufemia, who married King Coloman of Hungary, and Maria, married to the Byzantine pretender who called himself Leon Diogenes. Vladimir's sister Eupraxia became notorious all over Europe for her divorce with Emperor Henry IV on the grounds that he had attempted a black mass on her naked body. Vladimir Monomakh is buried in the Saint Sophia Cathedral in Kiev. Succeeding generations often referred to his reign as the golden age of that city. Numerous legends are connected with Monomakh's name, including the transfer from Constantinople to Rus of such precious relics as the Theotokos of Vladimir and the Muscovite crown called Monomakh's Cap.

You know what one of the leaders of little Polish native Tatar minority said about converts and Arab immigrants? He said that Polish Tatars have nothing to do with those people and should not be linked with them. He claimed that they are sometimes radical. I totally agree with him, it is true about Russian Orthodox converts as well. By the way, if you would marry Muslim lady, would you be Islamic Jihadist now? Im damn serious, so?
