the media creation is the spin on the story - its been cast instantly as a "war crime", "murders", "reprisal killings" - and let's not forget the "bodies found kneeling, as if in prayer".

that's the media creation, which unfortunately, a rather large group of freepers have bought into.

Okay - I acknowledge that none of us knows the facts or has examined the evidence first hand. We've all only read what has been reported.

But, with that handicap, tell me how you spin the story any differently? I mean, you can call all of the survivors, including the children, bald-faced liars, and you can presume that the military relieved the officers and opened two separate investigations for no reason solely because of the pressure of 'media spin,' and you can discount the fact that many of the statements from Congressmen are derived from official briefings on the incident, but how do you put a halfway-decent face on the facts are reported? And should we even try?
