In police investigations they are normally removed. They are placed on administrative leave until the outcome of the investigation

Every congresscritter in DC that is undermining morale has blood on their hands. I will never forgive them.

Every time we show a picture of the towers, or a child smiling at the sight of the US military, Murtha dies a little more. You're right

"I'll take the Longest Day over Private Ryan anytime. ;o)" I might agree, strictly as entertainment, but those older war movies never honestly portrayed the full horror of combat.
I saw both. The Longest day was better than Private Ryan. IMO. But neither as good as Patton or Tora, Tora, Tora.
I don't think portraying horror ala Private Ryan works. It seemed cartoonish and fake to me. The best horror is created in our imagination by a skilled director IMO.

There was one survivor, Safa Younis Salim, 13, who in an interview said she lived by faking her death. "I pretended that I was dead
when my brother's body fell on me and he was bleeding like a faucet," she said. http://service.spiegel.de/cache/international/0,1518,418464,00.html
Only 13-year-old Safa Younis lived -- saved, she said, by her mother's blood spilling onto her, making her look dead when she fell, limp, in a faint.

Discrepancies:
Did this child "pretend" to be dead as she stated in one story or did this child "faint" as she stated in another interview?
Was it her mother's blood that saved her? Or her brother's?

If Murtha got this one wrong, I say Sean Hannity should personally hand Murtha a Ruths Chris gift certificate.

Good catch. Once again, Freepers are doing the job that the MSM should be doing - probing for the facts, not just accepting at face value every anti-American word that comes from the mouth of a pro-Saddam Iraqi.

We give our Marines the Benefit of the Doubt. Because we know the kind of men they are. Amen. And all the more reason to hold Murtha in particular contempt for his despicable slander of these soldiers. And he is what will run this nation if the democraps are ever back in power!

I'm sure you were also giving all kinds of 'benefit of the doubt' to Wassef Ali Hassoun, right?

I'm sure you were also giving all kinds of 'benefit of the doubt' to Wassef Ali Hassoun, right? Wrong. He was a deserter and should have been shot.
