You clearly don't understand how they think. A black man cannot possibly be at fault for something. At the heart of any crime or any mistake is white racism. White racism is to blame for blacks who don't pay attention in school and dropout. White racism is to blame for kids who get pregnant at 15 or for those who are doing drugs at 12. White racism makes someone rob a store. And white racism is why Tookie is dead.
What these people don't understand is that ultimately they are to blame for a lot of the failings of black youth. When you raise children in a culture where they are taught to blame others when things go wrong and to see themselves as helpless victims you will inevitably see a lot of kids who fail to take responsibility for their own lives and fail to put in the effort required to get educated and succeed. It is a very vicious cycle.

Tookie was reposnsible for his own death. The governor could have prevented justice - that's not the same thing as being responsible for Tookie's death.
