That would be my typical luck. Leave a war zone, fly to a hurricane. What the hey? I did it last year. Flew in two days before Katrina hit. Houston didn't get the actual hurricane, but we definitely got reverberations from Katrina.
We had Ivan in late '04 and Dennis in early (July) '05. Pensacola Beaches and Navarre are still in bad shape in many places. Once you get past Pensacola westward, then Katrina's damage is evident. My Home owner's insurance has doubled beginning July 1st.................
