In this "company town" where everything and everyone caters to the well-being of the Marine Corps....

Nice start to the article. Funny how they never start a column defending libs with "At this "company rag" where everything and everyone caters to Dem causes....."

Remember the famous "wedding massacre" incident from the recent past? I have a feeling this story is just like it. Utterly false.

And no shortage of freepers that think the MSM and the leakers have it right, unfortunately.

Benefit of the doubt???

The NY Times seems to be bothered that people would give our Marines the BOTD. What should we do according to them, assume they are guilty.

The Slimes makes me want to puke.

"In the heat of combat, you cannot hesitate; he who hesitates is lost," he said. "I would not prosecute these young men because they were just doing their jobs."

But conversation quickly returns to emotional and earnest explanations of the need for understanding for what one former marine described as "these 19-year-old kids who get paid 900 bucks a month to put their lives on the line."

Funny, you don't see this much exposure over terrorists killing people in Iraq. It's only newsworthy when we are suspected of doing it.

I want the Old Media held accountable for the libelist intentions that are so obvious with the reporting of such incidents. Wishful thinking on their part does not give them the right to character assasination and they should be liable to the tune of several hundred thousand.

MARINES
The level of character that sissy, prissy writers for the NYT secretly wish to achieve but never ever will.

First, this "journalist", Carolyn Marshall should know that M is capitalized in Marine.

Second, since no one has been even indicted much less convicted, I suggest everyone wait until the final verdict comes in before making unsubstantiated accusations.

And finally, since today is Memorial Day. A day when we memorialize those who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom including Marines. On this day of all days, one would think of all days that we wouldn't have to read this left wing propaganda.

Maybe everyone should buy and watch a dvd of "Rules of Engagement", with Tommy Lee Jones and Samuel L. Jackson, before being judgemental.

Only the anti-military and anti-American are judging our Marines guilty before all of the facts come out. There are the usual suspects that HOPE that this story is true. They are the usual cast of characters and they are all on the left side of the political spectrum. They are rooting for the enemy.

This story may very well be true. This is war. Accidents happen. Ugly things happen. These brave young men are all human just like the rest of us and are subject to the very same over reactions that we are. That doesn't mean that our Marines are evil. Anyone of us when placed in a highly stressful position where our lives are on the line might react the same way. Please do NOT judge these guys until ALL of the facts are out. Most Americans are fair and will wait until all of the facts come out. The usual cast of characters (Kerry, Kennedy, Murtha) has already found them guilty. That is wrong. God bless our brave young Marines that are fighting for our freedoms to be able to sit here in our pajamas and post of FR.

This shows that nobody at the paper really knows what's what at Pendelton.

A son of a family friend is a Fleet Marine Force Corpsman up there, and he says the overall sentiment is "please, God, let it not be true."

The overall rumor flow regarding the official investigation is that the results are not going to be good, and that some officers may be going down for covering this up.
