U.S. Sen. Evan Bayh continues to say he hasnt decided whether to run for president in 2008, while continuing to position himself to make that run.
He also continues to take positions that allow him to be noticed by those assessing which Demo-cratic candidates are likely to emerge as front-runners in the race.
Bayh was one of three Democratic members of the Senate Intelligence Committee to vote against an endorsement of Air Force Gen. Michael V. Hayden to head the CIA. The 12-3 vote to confirm Hayden included four of seven Democrats on the committee.
According to the Washington Post, the three Democrats who voted against Hayden were objecting mainly to the administrations failure to justify the National Security Agencys warrantless wiretaps of Americans international calls, which occurred while Hayden headed that agency.
Bayh told the paper that his vote was an objection to the administrations unwillingness to ensure both our physical security and our civil liberties.
When the story broke about stolen Veterans Administration records, Bayh issued a statement saying that he is deeply concerned by the mishandling of sensitive VA (veterans) records.
He also said that he is glad to see that the appropriate law enforcement agencies are conducting full-scale investigations that will hopefully lead us to those who are responsible so that they may be held accountable.
Another democrat political midget steps forward.
Yet another Liberal Loser that couldn't find his own arse in a room lined with mirrors and someone standing there with a laser pointer giving him directions.....
*YAWN*
Thank God. I'm on board Birch. Hell, I thought you died.
Evan Bayh: For voters who thought Al Gore was just way too exciting.
George Allen will mop him up.
ah, the Boy Governor ... all smile, no substance
Senators rarely win. Kennedy was the last. Barely.
He is a very smooth character; he is the 'compleat' liberal, but knows how to hide it.
George who?
He will never be taken seriously by the masses as long as he is a member of this most pathetic body.
No senator, from either party, will be president in our lifetime, thankfully.
What was his excuse for not voting for Brett Kavanaugh?
The Republicans have such a pathetic bench and have been such incapable leaders that the Dems don't have to work so hard to cover up their own stupidity to score victories.
I don't think he can beat Hillary, but he might have a shot at the VP slot...the presidential nominee could decide that all the other potential choices have too many liabilities and he could get it by default. I doubt he can swing Indiana into the 'Rat column since it's one of the more Republican-leaning states in presidential elections, but he could make the ticket look more attractive to clueless swing voters.
