The Ten Commandments are radical in the sense that they are at odds with the world in which we live. The ACLU and other special interest groups have gone to court in an effort to have the Commandments sliced from public places. Do we now consider Gods laws as antiquated, unimportant and just too restricting? Are Christians weak today with so little faith that they fall victim to confusing, conjured and fictitious Hollywood movies like The Da Vinci Code? Consider the loose ideology of any liberal person who demonstrates their rejection of Gods word by fighting to eliminate the Ten Commandments in public places, teaching evolution as the beginning of life, promoting abortion and supporting homosexual marriage. Yes, the freewheeling liberal ideology that opposes Gods laws, can often be vastly opposite to Christian conservative beliefs. Our lawmakers are deceptively giving the immoral minority the right to violate Gods laws by exchanging and legislating mans laws that blaspheme, defy, and debase our God under the full protection of the American legal system. Look at the way our lawmakers are working to redefine Gods definition of marriage. God calls homosexuality an abomination, yet our court system is fixated on redefining marriage so men can marry men. Abortion is Americas holocaust and our Supreme Court has passed laws legalizing abortion, which is the murder of Americas unborn, who are all created in the image of God himself.
Who can dispute that man has ignored and debased Gods laws throughout his existence. We are the most educated society in the history of the world. Rather then read and follow the greatest book ever written and pursue Gods laws, which are a manual for living, we instead subscribe to the ideology of MTV or Hollywood, which is the blueprint for decadence.

We are going to post them in public here in Old Mexico
ROVENSTINEZ,
God be with you.
Carol
1. I am the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not have strange gods before me.
2. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
3. Remember thou keep the Sabbath Day.
4. Honor thy Father and thy Mother.
5. Thou shalt not kill.
6. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
7. Thou shalt not steal.
8. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
9. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife.
10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's goods.
Or so I was taught.
I wonder what would happen if people started posting them on their front lawn?
Contrast that statement with the one made yesterday by the Holy Father at Auschwitz.
"Deep down, those vicious criminals, by wiping out this people, wanted to kill the God who called Abraham, who spoke on Sinai and laid down principles to serve as a guide for mankind, principles that are eternally valid. If this people, by its very existence, was a witness to the God who spoke to humanity and took us to himself, then that God finally had to die and power had to belong to man alone -- to those men, who thought that by force they had made themselves masters of the world. By destroying Israel, they ultimately wanted to tear up the taproot of the Christian faith and to replace it with a faith of their own invention: faith in the rule of man, the rule of the powerful. "

I suppose people who are blinded by "political correctness" sometimes forget that our nations laws are based on the 10 commandments.
Nothing at all. That's the beauty of private property as opposed to public.
"I suppose people who are blinded by "political correctness" sometimes forget that our nations laws are based on the 10 commandments."
Other than the ones about murder, theft, and false witness, which of our nation's laws are based on any of the Commandments? A whopping 30% of the Commandments have been written into law. We have no laws prohibiting the worship of "gods" other than the God of Abraham, for instance.
Coincidentally, godless China also has laws against murder and theft and their legal system has no basis in Judeo-Christian morality.
The sixth commandmant was overruled by the courts a long time ago.
There is this little known law here in AZ which states that if your spouse is cheating on you, with your permission, you can have your spouse and the other person arrested on misdemeanor charges.
I asked the cops if they would arrest my husband and this witch and the cops said there is no such law but I looked it up and emailed my state legislators and sure enough, the law exists.
Even though nothing would come of it, it would at least send a message to the cheaters.
Non-Sequitur,
Thanks for your remarks but there are various versions of the Bible. I assume you are referring to the King James version.
I would hope that you would be in agreement that the original text was not written in English and whatever language, version or translation the meaning is the same.
That's the Catholic version . . . they're all there, just in a slightly different numbering system. The Protestants split 1 and combine 9 and 10.
3 out of 10, actually.
A sadly true comment on today's socity.
Precisely.
The last bunch of folks who enforced the spirit of the Ten Commandments into their laws was the Taliban.
Thanks, but no thanks.
