KABUL, Afghanistan — A deadly traffic accident involving U.S. troops sparked a riot in the Afghan capital on Monday, with U.S. and Afghan security forces firing on protesters, police and witnesses said. At least five people were killed and 60 injured.

Hundreds of protesters marched on the palace of U.S.-backed President Hamid Karzai in the city center after the incident, shouting "Death to Karzai! Death to America!"

Gunfire was also heard near the U.S. Embassy. The staff was moved to a secure location within the heavily fortified compound, said Chris Harris, an embassy spokesman

There are no accidents, only the will of Allah.

Allah loves riots.

Indeed, Accident's are, in their viewpoint, the Will of Allah.

So they're protesting their own moon god ????

Sometimes I just want to say 'the hell with those ingrates', but leaving them alone to stew in their jealousy just got us Al-Quaeda and 9-11.

The ungratefulness of the Afghanis and the Iraqis is what gives the Left in this country continued hope that we will lose the War on Terror.
I think Bush was wrong to "assume" that these countries would appreciate our sacrifices.
As long as AlJazeera and CNN, et al, keep up the propoganda, the US will continue to lose support in the region.
And, of course the Dems will ride the wave of anti-US sentiment all the way to regaining the House and Senate.
Sickening.

Lets learn from who reacts so vehemently from this report of an "alleged" accident who really are the HateAmerica crowd.

In particular, let's watch our own homegrown AmericaHaters like the talk show radio jock Doug McIntyre of ABC radio in LA,former alkie and bipolar nut case, who has automatically accused our troops of slaughtering innocent Afghanies on the basis of this potentially enemy propaganda story .

He's on the air right now celebrating Memorial Day by going along with an obvious hatchet job on our troops in a war zone...a case he terms "a horrible story out of the war about our own Marines".

Happy Memorial Day. Never Forget.

OK OK.
I'm mixing one story from Iraq with another from Afghanistan...the principle remains the same.

Here's McIntyre of KABC radio taking a week old story full of oddball allegations and comparing it to the horrible Mi Lai Massacre in Vietnam and justifying all his nonsense under the guise of reporting the "NEWS" as if his radio talk show is a legitimate news medium and not the biased propaganda anti-USA entertainment show that it really is.

God Bless America!

Sometimes, I'm just a little tempted to say, let's return them to the Russians' tender mercies.

It's time, on this day of remembrance, that President Bush declare that we are going to wipe-clean any muslim city that riots against the USA. Peaceful demonstration is OK, but rioting will be considered an act of war.

Until Bush and his weaklings decide to quit being civilized with an uncivilized people, we are going to suffer Vietnam style-incremental losses as well as the public's, rightful waning support of a war that drags on without any real accomplishments after the main surge into the respective countries. Sure, we are spending billions upon billions building up their countries while being spat on in the process, but what other accomplishments have we made? It's time we either fight the war like a war should be fought or we pull out and isolate. But, this in-between style war is only incrementally hurting our forces. Didn't we learn from Vietnam?

It is not uncommon for locals to overereact to deaths caused by foreign troops on their soil, and it is equally common for certain political elements to then seize on this accident in order to organize a protest. It goes with the territory, and it is magnified among a "primitive" people.

Similar incidents occur in South Korea, and have nothing to do with a "moon god" or Allah. If we want to be big boys in this world we have to act like big boys. That means not talking about abandoning an ally everytime a truck runs someone over and 100 people riot.

Depending on your definition of "human" I think the Afghans are arguably closer to the human condition than we are. Maybe "human" is shopping at the mall, maybe it is fighting the Soviets in mountain passes for years. You decide. Personally, I have great empathy and respect for the Afghans (minus the Taliban).

On the whole we have the majority support of both nations (Iraq and Stan). This is without question.

The reality is Iraqi's have lost far many more people then we have in this WOT and their units continue to stand shoulder to with our guys and are now heading toward gunfire when they hear it (a wonderful sign).

Though I agree with you 100% about how our agenda driven MSM (and DEM leadership in this Country) are doing all they can for us to lose!

Which is exactly why our GOP base must come together and do whatever is possible not to see the anti-American, anti-military, anti-success in the WOT DEM's do not become a majority in Congress.

Our soldiers alone deserve better in this time of war.

Oh, for pete's sake. You've bought into the story pushed by our media.

Never mind the overwhelming majority who are grateful.

The average IQ in Afghanistan is 84. You make the connection.

The "animals" were probably stirred up by foreign terrorist elements in their midst. Or perhapsthe whole crowd was composed of foreign terrorists.
