"Pretty effective when you consider the Clintons gave the R's the House and Senate after decades."

And 8 years of corruption and sleaze in the White House, liberal judges who continue to make bizarre rulings, liberal CIA officials who are still sabotaging this country etc etc. We are still paying for Klinton's crimes.

Tell that to the Klintons

Why, are you working for them? Or are you consumed by them, do you have a fixation? Get help.

Too true. The proverbial rock and hard place.

I wouldn't mind if I knew a Bush #3 could win, however, it gives the opponents too much ammunition, he might be sunk before he even starts to swim. Right now there is too much to risk with Hillary, isn't there anyone else? What is going on with the Republicans? It seems all the Democrats have are the same old, same old.

I would think there are other people out there. 2 Bushes are enough.

Of course, we all know 1 Clinton was 1 too many.

"I wouldn't mind if I knew a Bush #3 could win, "

He won't likely win of he stands in 2008.
So he's very wise to rule that out.
But 2012, 2016? Very possible

Jeb Bush did everything he could to save Terri -- he was going as far as trying to rescue Terri, but someone alerted the nursing home.

Perhaps. But something doesn't smell right. My gut feeling is that Jeb was going to save Terri, but someone convinced him not to. He gave a press conference talking about how he was going to rescue Terri, in a manner that allowed Felos et al. to block the rescue. I don't know whether he intended for the rescue to be blocked, or whether it was carelessness on his part, but neither explanation seems satisfactory.

Unless or until I find out more of what really went on, I will not trust Jeb Bush.

Jeb is the smartest & truest conservative of the bunch. Moreover, he'd have been President already had, years ago, his first run for Governor of Florida not been stolen.

Still, we probably need a breather without a Bush on ticket for the first time since 1976 -- other than Dole-Kemp.

This is still the REAL world, and two party people are slaves to the syndicates that have corrupted our political system, and rule us like royalty without giving a damn what we want. Jeb or hillary like it or lump it.

We are still paying for Klinton's crimes.

Clinton would have been far less damaging if the Republicans in Congress and especially the Senate exhibited any sense.

In 1995-1996, Clinton gave the Republicans most of what they asked for, generally claiming his accomplishments as their own. In their effort to prop up the candidacy of their pathetic candidate Bob Dole, the Republicans attacked Clinton in such fashion as to discredit their own accomplishments. Totally brilliant.

Imagine, instead, if the Republicans had run an ad something like this: "Bill Clinton says he's pround of the welfare reform act--given to him by a Republican Congress. He's also proud of xxx--given to him by a Republican Congress, and yyy--also from a Republican Congress. If you would like Clinton to sign more pieces of legislation like these, elect Republicans for the House of Representatives and the Senate."

What could the Democrats have countered with? I would think such an ad would have almost guaranteed Republican gains in the House and Senate, and such gains would have helped the Republicans keep Clinton in check. Further, it would have allowed the Republicans, when impeachment came up, to argue, "We're not objecting to Clinton's politics. Frankly, if it was up to us, we'd rather have him in the White House than Gore. But if he's guilty of impeachable offenses we have a duty to remove him whether we'd really want to or not." Again, what response would Democrats have?

Perhaps Jeb Bush is innocent of Terri's death, but before I would vote for him for dog catcher I'd want him to explain what happened and why.

He already explained as I recall. He said "The court have made its ruling, my hands are tied." Which in my opinion was a bold faced lie.
