What a sad observation about Newport Beach.

Newport Beach is still wonderful but the writing is on the wall if we don't get control of the borders and clean up the refuse already here. I've been in this house for 30 years and need alarms, motion detecting lights, chains for outside furniture etc. Those things were laughable only a few years ago.

Anyplace where one requires alarms, motion detecting lights and chains for the outside furniture has long since - in my book - passed from being "wonderful" to something - well - far FAR less "wonderful". Frankly, I would not would to live anywhere _near_ there.

Why do you stay?

Is this "the future" for the rest of America, as well?

No wonder the illegal immigration invasion has got you pissed. I had to stay in Newport Beach for a week in 1986 and it was beautiful.
