wouldn't he be an interesting person to look into, re: 2008??

He's never been elected to anything and if that makes it hard for Condi it would totally eliminate Evans.  Plus he's another "oil man" and is currently working as "CEO of the Financial Services Forum, a trade association representing the CEOs of financial services firms dedicated to promoting policies that encourage an open and competitive global marketplace" (from Wikipedia).  That would make him one of those "evil capitalists" and a partisan in the "globalization" debate.  He'd be chopped up in itty bitty pieces.

Good points...I hadn't thought of that...

I am just trying to figure out if there is someone on the horizon that isn't a Senator or House member...that could sneak up on the dems...

So far, almost all of the candidates on both sides, are sitting or ex-Senators...YIKES!

From the way the Senate has been acting the last few years, I wouldn't want any Senator, (with the exception of perhaps, Sessions, Cornyn, or Kyl)...they all seem to already think they are too powerful.

Ex-Governors seem to make good POTUS candidates, but Jeb is out..and I don't know of any conservative Governors, do you?
