More patrols planned for El Paso, Laredo El Paso Times Staff
The Minutemen are planning another large operation in Texas in October, organizers said.
The Dallas-based Texas Minutemen joined forces with Jim Gilchrist, founder of the Minuteman Project, to cover El Paso and Laredo in their volunteer patrols.
The organizers expect 325 to come to El Paso and 800 to Laredo. They call their operation "Eyes on Texas."

The biggest and most effective operation is the fence they are building but so nice to see them keeping up the effort in more than one place.

I should add, if you have not donated to their effort, please do it.

It's one ranch. How is that going to affect anything? I also thought that once the NG was sent the Minutemen were going to go home? Are they just like the liberals who make a lifetime job out of their issue even when their demands are met?

They can't do that!
Don't they know they need Congressional oversight????
What is wrong with them? They need permits. They need approval. They need...uhhh.....Congressional oversight!
How dare Americans do something without the Government????
Why, that's almost unAmerican!!!!

JMHO, but your thoughts might be more useful on a "What would the French do" thread.

JMHO, but your thoughts might be more useful on a "What would the French do" thread. LOL Ever hear of the "Maginot line" That was going to stop the Germans and it sure as hell wasn't a cyclone fence. You may want to try harder next time when attempting to get cute.

You may want to try harder next time when attempting to get cute. Completely unnecessary. Your criticisms were and are hollow on their face and actually take little effort or thought to rebut. Check your history on the Maginot Line doofus. It wasn't breeched, but as is typical of the Frogs they sortof forgot to secure the flanks. Look it up goober.

I also thought that once the NG was sent the Minutemen were going to go home? Don't know why you may have thought that, I don't recall having seen it stated anywhere.
As for me, when I see NG or AR from Brownsville to San Diego and apprehensions on the southern border drop from 1.5 million to 50 Thousand per year and estimates of capture rates of the illegal border crossers go up from 20% to > 95% I might consider staying home.
Soooo, anybody know any good restaurants around Laredo?

That is about what they have on the border at any given time. Look, when the NG gets there the first time they get in the way they will be asked nicely to leave. They are not doing a damned thing by being there.

50 Minutemen ????????????? Don't mind the other guy. He's prone to hyperbole. His screen name distresses me, but we have to make allowances for transplants I suppose. I'm thinking something like "frenchforever" would work better for him???

Hyperbole is saying that the Minutemen are required on the border to stop illegals.

They are not doing a damned thing by being there. Boy, you are just the happy funball today! As far as not doing a damned thing you might want to consider the fact that the Border Operations are pushing the correct buttons on over one million illegal aliens in this country forcing them to show their azz in the streets of our cities. It pushes the correct buttons for the communist backed organizations such as malda, mechia, la raza, mexica movment, not to mention the aclu.
As a matter of fact, it is precisely the Border Operations that have pushed the correct buttons all the way up to the President of Mexico, our good friend Mr. Fox and has dumped the issue directly in the face of the President of the United States of America..
That is what is has done.
