Was there in fall of 1992, before the major American involvement on the ground. Flying in food to NGO. Mog was a SH**hole then. No roofs and everything stripped. After a battle the 'technicals' would pull in front of the NGO 'hospitals' (Bidoa), move the Westerners out, go in and shoot the sick and starving in the beds, remove the bodies to the street and place their wounded in.
Somalia is a dump. The most homogeneous country on the planet, (98% are the same tribe, religion, language) and they cant get a long. Who cares.
