PACOM C-17s to assist Australian Defence Forces

HICKAM AIR FORCE BASE, Hawaii -- A C-17 prepares for takeoff bound for the Solomon Islands. U.S. Pacific Command is providing two C-17 aircrafts to assist in positioning Australian Defence Force personnel and equipment in support of their peace operations in East Timor. The C-17 will transport Australian Defence Forces from the Solomon Islands to Australia.

Thanks for that - I've been trying to find a decent report of what support the US is providing - the media seems to be ignoring that part of the story.
