Federal health and drug enforcement officials have widely used Tashkin's previous work on marijuana to make the case that the drug is dangerous. Ridiculous strategy.
The problem with marijuana has never been "fear of cancer". I don't care if it does or does not. Marijuana hurts a person's chances to develop into a fully functioning member of society. As another poster said, it just makes you stupid.
