We may soon expect a new movie called "Falling Down II" in which a gay couple laid off from Disney trash Disney Land using machine guns, and RPG's.:)

Doesn't Disney own ABC? They can start by firing Mike Ross, George Steffie and about 3/4s of the rest of ABC "News".

It's Disney.
They'll fire all the straight people.

No worries for Disney. They've jacked up the prices at the Theme Parks/Resorts so high that some rates are double what they were in 2000-2001. This along with downsizing of staff at said parks/resorts so that employee moral has taken a significant beating. It's made a difference to park/resorts guests and while the Disney name still goes far, the experience is far short of the Walt originally had in mind.
Very sad. My childhood memories are full of family Disney trips and it's hard to see them fall like this.
It's not that the parks are going anywhere anytime soon, though. They're the major division that's profitable. It's that they've degraded the experience so that while they're common, not excellent.

Disney is not responsible for "Cars." That is a Pixar production, and Disney bought Pixar. Pixar has told Disney that they will not be cranking out schlock films every other month because their excellent productions do take time. Since Disney's offerings of late, with the notable exception of "The Chronicles of Narnia" have bombed, they do not need a stable full of employees working on flops at Touchstone. I think Disney has finally got it.

I would expect higher gas prices to put a damper on the parks this summer, as well.

Lessee now, I don't suppose that you could get Michael Eisner or some of the other honchos over there to consider lowering their take home pay several hundred million dollars per year, do you?
