Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson says he has leg-pressed 2,000 pounds, but some say he'd be in a pretty tough spot if he tried. Well he might have pressed it, but it did not move.
To: Qwertrew
Hey Pat, go check your tire pressure.

Maybe he actually lifted 2000 British pound notes, which were tied to the leg press.

Pat is smeared constantly in the media. The left despises anyone who professes to be a real Christian.

The only person I know who can legpress 2,000 lbs is the X-Men villain Toad. Coincidence?

So many people are so gullible and lacking in knowledge of simple physics.
Anyone can leg press a heck of a lot of weight a couple of inches or so with legs already nearly fully extended.

i know they are totally different people but this reminds me of the claims of kim jung-il to have memorized every phone number in DPRK, shoot holes in one continuously in golf, etc.

I recall that Al Gore once said that someone who makes $100,000 a year for 10 years is a millionaire?
By that same logic, if Pat has done 20 reps of 100 pounds has he not leg pressed 2,000 pounds?

Jack Bauer can. With one foot!!

By that same logic, if Pat has done 20 reps of 100 pounds has he not leg pressed 2,000 pounds? There was a time that I made claims like Pat's to impress chicks, also...

True, the media target professing Christians, but more than that, they hate people who constantly talk stupid.

In fairness to Robertson, there is some discrepency in the amount of weight pressed DEPENDING ON THE BRAND of leg press.
Cybex has a leg press that works on a pivot. I can leg press close to 2000 pounds. But on other leg press machines that push the aparatus up a ram I can do much less.
Regardless, I doubt Robertson can leg press 2000 pounds.
